Air-Spade

Alleviation of soil compaction, tree root pruning/surveying and service installation through trees roots sytems are just some of the services that Tree Practice can offer by utilising the power of compressed air through a tool called an Air-Spade

Radial Trenching and Vertical Mulching

These are the proceses that Tree Practice uses to de-compact soil surrounding tree roots. We excavate the soil away from the root sytem in a series of trenches and bore holes, these are then filled with a wood based soil containing leaf mould and wood chip.

Root Pruning

We can carry out tree root pruning where roots are causing damage to built structures such as foundations and under ground services. In addition to this we can install root barriers to redirect roots away from such structures.

Root Surveys

Using the Air-Spade we can carry out exploritory excavations to determine the location of roots. This information can be used to determine the most suitable type of foundation design to protect the trees root system, ensuring the trees are retained in a healthy condition

Service Installation

We can excavate open cut trenches through a trees root system using compressed air and vacuum excavation, this allows services such as foul water and gas pipes etc. to be installed whilst minimising any damage to the tree.
